A Note Hidden in a Dog Collar Reunited Two Childhood Friends After 18 Years.

During a routine bath, the new owner discovered a waterproof sleeve stitched into the dog's collar. Inside was a note with a first name and old school nickname.

Community volunteers traced the nickname through alumni records and found the intended recipient living in another state.

The two friends spoke on video that night, then met in person with the dog a week later at a public park.

The note did not erase lost years, but it gave them a bridge back to a friendship they thought was gone forever.
